Ukrainian mine action company Demining Solutions
Since May 29, 2018 DS started working as MA operator to carry out humanitarian demining of mines and explosive objects in Ukraine
February 20, 2015 – mine action company Demining Solutions (DS)
Carrying out humanitarian demining of mines and explosive objects on contaminated territories in Ukraine and other countries. We closely cooperate with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, The State Emergency Service of Ukraine other state and non-governmental organizations, on local and international levels.
Permissions and Certificates
Demining Solutions possesses all permits to conduct mine action according to the National Mine Action Standard and International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), that includes following tasks:
- Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE);
Non-Technical Survey;
Technical Survey of territories;
Manual Clearance / Demining / Battlefield area Clearance (BAC);
EOD;
Training of Deminers, Team Leaders, EORE (ToT) for instructors;
Supply of Multi-Mission EOD Robotic System (MV-4, MV-10) as a representative of Dok-Ing company (Croatia).
* In July 6, 2020 DS became the official representative of “Dok-Ing” company in Ukraine and received rights on the promotion, presentation and delivery of products of the mentioned company.
Taking into account requirements of IMAS, the expert group of Demining Solutions developed all necessary Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) which allows to preform the demining tasks. Our SOPs were approved by National Mine Action Centre (Ministry of Defense).
Among documents possessed by the company there is also a permission of the Main Department of State Labor in Kyiv district,№2637.18.32, from 11.09.2018
In July 2023 DS successfully passed certification process and received 5 certificates of conformity for humanitarian demining: “Non-technical survey”, “Technical survey”, “Manual demining”, “Clearing the areas of hostilities” valid for 5 years and “Informing the population about the mines and other explosive ordnance risks” valid for 1 year
Currently, around 139,455 sq.km of Ukrainian territory needs humanitarian mine action interventions. It is obvious that with this indicator Ukraine is the most contaminated country in the world.
DS Activity and International Cooperation
The DS’s team is based on the experience and professionalism of deminers, each of whom has experience in demining the territory both in governmental and international organizations. In addition, the company effectively trains its own personnel and demining specialists.
Demining Solutions is a member of the UN Mine Action Sub Cluster and other platform.
Our company is included in the database of the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
DS Staff is member of the all-Ukrainian
NGO Ukrainian Deminers Association
The company also has 11 signed memorandums with international and national organizations and companies in demining sphere
Staff and Equipment of the Company
To solve the problems of humanitarian demining effectively, we purchase the best technics, tools and equipment. DS technical equipment for the humanitarian demining squad is in the line with the requirements for professional deminers and allows successful accomplishment of the tasks.
Moreover, some DS deminers have hands-on experience with almost all major types of metal detectors, large-format metal detectors, use of unmanned aerial vehicles and other explosive ordnance detection and detection equipment.
DS equipment
- Volkswagen Amarok
The modified pickup truck as a specialized EX / III vehicle for the transportation of dangerous materials of class 1 (explosives and articles).
The Amarok range consists of single cab and double cab, combined with either 4motion four-wheel-drive, and is powered by turbocharged direct injection (TDI) diesel engines.
- MEDIVAC for rescue squad DS
Our special car of high pass (4х4) modified by medical evacuation. Has all necessary equipment to provide first medical aid and to delivery patient to the nearest hospital.
