The year started successfully for us, as DS won two UNDP tenders, competing with various giants in the field of mine action. This was actually the maximum that could be achieved. Throughout most of the year, we actively carried out tasks from UNDP. As a result, we were able to return a lot of land to communities through repeated NTO, educate the population about mine hazards, and gain experience working with a key UN agency for mine action in Ukraine. Regarding repeated NTO, DS was one of the first to demonstrate how the new National Standard works in practice.
Although our cooperation with TetraTech significantly decreased last year, it continued. First of all, we ensured the implementation of clearance tasks as part of TetraTech’s practical training. In October, we received a new round of funding for expansion. Three additional cleanup teams were deployed to work on sites of critical importance to communities. Thus, the American corporation TetraTech can truly be considered our strategic partner.
This year, we were actively involved in demining and helping new Ukrainian companies. Our philosophy of cooperation with reliable partners, whether international or Ukrainian, remains unchanged.
We also collaborated with an international Italian company on educating the population about mine hazards.
A significant achievement for the company was that, at the beginning of the year, DS began cooperating with APOPO, an international non-governmental organization specializing in the use of mine detection dogs and technical survey dogs.
